Applied Trail Vase

Alfredo Barbini, c.1980

Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, Italy

£150 (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

An unusual torpedo-shaped vase designed by Alfredo Barbini for his own Murano glassworks, Vetreria Alfredo Barbini, probably in the 1980s.

The body of the vase has a very very dense brick-red colour at the top that gently graduates to clear at the bottom, where the vase is wrapped in a thick applied trail of deep cobalt blue.

Bears original factory label, and is engraved 'Barbini Murano' near the base.
