'Hulvase' ('Hole Vase')

Michael Bang, 1971

Kastrup-Holmegaard, Denmark

Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A small clear glass 'Hulvase' ('Hole Vase'), designed by Michael Bang for Kastrup-Holmegaard, Denmark, in 1971.

The vase's name is derived from the fact that as well as the hole in the top of the vase, where you would expect to find one, there are additional holes dotted about - poked through by the glassblower whilst the vase was still semi-molten. These extra holes make the vase rather sculptural in itself, or great for small floral arrangements.

Signed 'Holmegaard - MB' to the base.
