Murrine & Silver Bowl

Anzolo Fuga, c.1960

Arte Vetre Murano (A.Ve.M.), Italy

£90 (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A thick-walled glass bowl of abstract 'biomorphic' form, designed by Anzolo Fuga for Arte Vetri Murano (A.Ve.M.), Italy, in the early 1960s.

Of a thick opal-white glass cased in clear, the exterior is plain, whilst the interior is decorated with a most minimal array of large murrines, dispersed silver foil fragments and dark gold powders that have reacted against both of them to create semi-random swirls of colour.
