Eugenio Ferro & C., Italy

Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A contemporary soffiato (thinly mouth-blown) vase in a vibrant cobalt blue glass, designed by Marino Santi for Eugenio Ferro & C., Murano.

A delicate flared bowl and a delicate flared foot are joined together with a vertically ribbed avolio - a rounded enclosed bubble of glass - liberally dusted with fine silver leaf. With its simple and clean lines, this vase draws inspiration from classic 1920s Venetian design.

Bears a Vetro Artistico Murano label - V.A.M. representing a consortium of Murano glassworks guaranteeing the authenticity of the glass - with the number 050 for the Eugenio Ferro works. Engraved signature of 'M. Santi' to the underside.
