A large freeblown teardrop-shaped 'drop' vase from the vibrant 'Majgrøn' ('May Green') series designed by Per Lütken for Holmegaard Glas, Denmark, in 1955 and produced in the early 1960s.
At 250mm, or a little under 10" tall, it is the largest - and most scarce - of the three standard drop vases in the extensive 'Majgrøn' series.
Signed to the base with the factory name, Lütken's 'PL' monogram and the vase's form number, 15471.
