Four-Part Incalmo Vase

Antonio Da Ros, c.1996

Gino Cenedese & C., Italy

£1500 (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

Magnificent multi-coloured vase in a flattened ovoid-form, designed for exhibition by Antonio Da Ros for Gino Cenedese & C., Murano, around 1996.

The vase is of incalmo construction, a technically challenging technique whereby two or more hemispheres of glass of identical diameter are joined together whilst soft and are worked into the desired shape. This vase is four-part incalmo with layers of cobalt blue, lime green, bright pink and bright blue, cased in a thick layer of clear crystal.

The vase is fully signed to the base 'Gino Cenedese - A.D.R.', the full signature being employed only on gallery-quality works.
