Very large 'Cinese' ('Chinese') vase in a muted smoke-grey colour produced by Gino Cenedese & C., Murano, around 1990 - although the design was first issued in the mid-1960s.
The vase's form emulates that of antique Chinese pottery, but transposes it to strikingly monotone incamiciato glass - a combination of opaque white and transparent coloured glasses, layered and thinly blown.
Engraved signature 'Cenedese' to the base and glassworks label to the side.
