Pâte De Verre Fairy Table Lamp

Patrick Crespin, c.1980

Verriere Patrick Crespin, France

£155 (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A vintage Art Nouveau-style pâte de verre mushroom-shaped table lamp with fairy adornment, produced by the small French lighting firm, Verriere Patrick Crespin in the early-mid 1980s.

A two-part lamp, with the shade and base made of the same polychrome glass of yellow, orange and dark blue, it has a shade gallery of solid copper and bronze that terminates in three stylised fairy finials. The exterior of the glass is satinated.

The lamp takes two bulbs, one in the base and one under the shade, with both being controlled via a rocker switch on the cable.

The shade is marked 'Le Nouhaud' (the location of Crespin's Limousin studio) with acid resist.

The lamp accepts traditional low wattage B15 SBC (Small Bayonet Cap) bulbs - it will come with a low-heat LED bulb installed in the base for your ease of use. It has been rewired with premium vintage-style Italian-made twisted fabric cable in a complementary dark blue colour.
