Model 13319 Table Lamp

Mario Pinzoni, 1962

Seguso Vetri d'Arte, Italy

£275 (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A scarce Model 13319 table lamp designed by Mario Pinzoni for Murano glassworks Seguso Vetri d'Arte in 1962. It was exhibited at the XL Fiera di Milano in the same year.

In the form of a candle hurricane lamp (indeed, it was designed to be used with electric or candle, if the fittings were removed), the lamp has a sculptural knopped base in thick sommerso glass (literally, 'submerged' - or cased with multiple layers) with a core of red, a layer of golden yellow, and an outer layer of clear. The shade is thin-blown in golden amber and sits on the metal gallery of the base.

It has been rewired with complementary vintage-style Italian-made braided cable with vintage-style inline switch. It takes an E14 bulb - and looks great with antique-style candle bulbs.

Bears original Pauly & C. retail label to the side of the base.
