Form 730 Table Lamp

Jette Hellerøe, c.1960

Axella Stentøj, Denmark

Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

Unusual stoneware table lamp base, form 730, designed by Jette Hellerøe for Axella Stentøj, Denmark, in the 1960s.

The lamp is partially glazed in a monochromatic palette, which overlays a pronounced hobnail-style decoration, and is banded with an unglazed section that shows the subtle granular nature of the clay.

The lamp is fully marked to the base with '730 - Jette Hellerøe - Axella'.

It has a Bakelite E27 lampholder, with in-built switch, which is suitable for most modern British and traditional European shades. It has been rewired in vintage-style Dyke & Dean twisted fabric cable.
