'Sybille Doublé' Wine, c.1906

Val Saint Lambert, Belgium

Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A scarce set of six antique harlequin cased and cut crystal wine glasses, from the series 'Sybille', produced by Belgian glassworks, Val Saint Lambert, from c.1906.

Each glass, executed in a bright, clear, and weighty lead crystal, has a 'doublé' bowl - cased in either a vibrant pink or green layer (there are three of each), which has been cut back to clear with a banded pattern of stars and fans.

Each has a tactile panel-cut stem with facet-cut knop and trapped bubble. The panel cutting of the stem extended to the base of the thin and delicate bowl.
