Cut 'Iris' Schnapps Set of 6, c.1902

Moser, Czechoslovakia

Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

A scarce set of six extraordinarily fine Art Nouveau schnapps glasses with intaglio-carved floral motif, produced by Moser and catalogued from 1902.

Each glass bears a single deeply-cut iris flower with two leaves wrapping around the sides of the bowl. The iris' stem traverses the full length of the glass stem, which is additionally decorated with simple bamboo-like facet cuts.

The lip and foot of the glass has been decorated with small incised geometric designs, which have then been gilded over with a matt gold layer, leaving the incisions visible.
