An oversized and decorative decanter of of a flattened, eliptical, form with large flattened circular stopper, designed by Antonio Da Ros for Gino Cenedese & C., Murano, in the early 1970s.
The decanter and stopper are in a clear glass, both decorated a scavo - a technique that has the glassmaker roll the hot glass in salts and ashes to create an unevenly matted surface similar to 'excavated' Roman and Etruscan glass.
The decanter bears an engraved signature to the base.
