A vintage cast lead crystal glass figure of a stylised elephant, designed in a minimalist fashion with simple graphic features impressed to one side of the glass. It was made by Swedish glassworks, Kosta Boda in the 1960s or very early 1970s, before the Kosta and Boda factories unified their branding.
The figure was hand-poured, using open-backed casting, which necessarily incorporates the foibles of hand-made glass processes - random bubbles, swirls and ripples.
Signed 'Kosta' to the base.
