A small and cute vintage glass figure of a traditional Swedish Dala or Dalecarlian horse, produced by Lindshammar Glasbruk, Sweden, in the mid-late 1960s.
One of a series of naïve cast figures and animals intended as pocket-money collectables, each figure is individually hand-cast with plenty of impressed detail, as well as occasionally incorporating the foibles of hand-made glass processes - random bubbles, swirls and ripples.
It is 'new old stock', discovered in a Copenhagen glass warehouse that had closed its doors in the mid-1970s.
