Sold! (approx. € EUR / $ USD)

Large and wonderfully sculpted vintage tortoise figure, created a massello - a technique known in English as 'hotworking' that involves hand-forming the object from a solid gather of whilst it is semi-molten.

It was designed by Antonio Da Ros for the Murano glasswork of Gino Cenedese & C. in the 1960s or 70s. As is typical of his glass animals, it also includes an injected bubble in its centre.

It has an engraved signature to the base, and an original factory label.
