A large and expressive sculpture, 'Les Chèvres' / 'The Goats', by renowned French animal sculptor Irénée Rochard (1906-1984) and was produced at Atelier Cadran in the 1930s.

The sculpture shows two young goats fighting playfully, captured with Rochard's typical eye for detail and movement.

Of spelter, it has been given a patinated bronze effect with a look of verdigris with naturalistic bronzed highlights.

It is signed 'I.Rochard' in the casting.
